Narrative Summary

This exciting new program develops introductory academic and practical skills in students that allow them to match a growing need in the horticulture/landscaping profession. Over the course of four months, students will learn about safe work practices, plant identification, horticulture practices and operations, plant health, plant propagation, greenhouse operations, basic landscaping techniques, safety certifications and more. The students will also complete a 2 month placement component of the program alongside Kayanase Greenhouse to put their knowledge in action by completing various landscaping projects within the Six Nations community.
