Narrative Summary

Through our Introduction to Indigenous Radio Broadcasting, students will be trained in this highly concentrated, hands-on program for careers in radio broadcasting and emerging broadcast media. Students will assist with programming and operating two local radio stations: CKRZ 100.3 FM and Jukasa Radio 93.5 FM. Learn about on-air performance, creative writing, content creation, audio production, sales and marketing, broadcast administration, web content development, promotions and programming. Students will also learn in a live environment while performing on-air and behind-the-scenes job functions identical to those in the digital media and broadcast industry. The program consists of a blended learning environment of theory, practical hands-on training, and work placement.
