Comprehensive Training to Build Your Future

The First Nations Firefighter Training and Certification Program prepares participants for the physical and technical demands of firefighting. With a mix of classroom learning and hands-on practice, it’s designed to help you build confidence and competence in the field.

Program Highlights:

👉 Theoretical Learning: Explore fire science, safety protocols, and emergency response strategies.
👉 Hands-On Training: Practice critical firefighting skills, including fire suppression, rescue techniques, and equipment handling.
👉 Fitness Readiness: Complete a physical assessment to ensure you’re prepared for the demands of the role.
👉 Career Support: Finish the program with an interview with Firestar, setting you up for future career opportunities.

Our new program also offers certifications that are internationally recognized, providing a strong foundation for career growth, including:

🔥 NFPA 1001 Firefighter Levels 1 & 2

🔥 NFPA 1072 Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations

Are You Eligible?

To apply, participants must meet the following requirements:

✅ Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
✅ Class G driver’s licence
✅ Clean criminal record
✅ Successful completion of an intake interview with OSTTC, GREAT, and the Six Nations Fire Training Academy
