Narrative Summary

Students will learn appropriate welding techniques to achieve qualification under the CSA W47.1, with testing conducted by the Canadian Welding Bureau. Additionally, several welding processes, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding are covering during the course, as well as the theoretical concepts required by the Apprenticeship In-Class Training standards.

Admission Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Obtained a High School Diploma or GED
  • Provide a copy of High School Transcript
  • Interview with Trades Lead
  • Willing to travel for employment and must have reliable transporation
  • Exemplary marks in Math and Science

Hours and Duration
  • September 3rd - December 13th, 2024
  • Monday to Friday: 8am to 4pm [in-class, hands-on instruction]
